About

I like to think of myself as a Jane of all Trades.  Mum, Wife, Entrepreneur, Serial-Salesperson, Advertising Junkie, Marketing Maven, Social Media addict, triathlete, chef, world-traveler, and author-to-be.

My day job is in the glamorous world of advertising sales.  My superpower is keeping the Internet free for the masses.

My family includes hub, bub, and dog – all of whom made my life infinitely better when they joined it.  I don’t know quite how I lucked into being loved by the three greatest beings I’ve ever met but I do my best to deserve it.

After the birth of my daughter, I suffered a debilitating depression that wrecked havoc on my life and on my family.  In this clouded state, I thought I needed to make a grand statement about how significantly I was changed by Motherhood.  I left an ill-fitting job, packed up my family, and moved to my hometown.  Let’s just say I’ve made better decisions in my life.

I have always wanted to write for a living.  I’ve always had an internal dialogue not unlike poetry about life whether it was cheery or dark.  And I’ve always been too opinionated not to share with anyone who will listen.  In my preparation for writing my first book, I aim to practice and hone my skill by blogging here – about motherhood, money, marriage, marketing and more.

  3. Hey mama! I’ve always loved your writing – you aren’t afraid to speak the truth and you do so with such eloquence and insight. Good for you for recognizing what you love and doing it! Somehow, I’m not surprised 🙂

  4. Hi schugarmama – I don’t know if you remember me, we spent ’93/’94 together at ICU in Tokyo. 🙂 I can’t say for sure anymore how I found your blog (facebook was involved somehow), but just wanted to say that I immensly enjoy reading it! I hope you keep it up and am always looking forward to new posts.

    1. oh my! what a memory shaker. How are you Antonia? Where are you? I’d love you to connect with me on FB – there are only a few of us that I’ve found – Tod, Andy, Jon, Michal – but I do get the ICU alumni literature in hopes of seeing others.
Thanks so much for the kind review. I would love to make this my living but I’ve got a long way to go. I’m so glad people find me and enjoy reading my messy thoughts. Cheers.
